2. What the website currently provides
Talenix provides information about childcare and tools that let you start a location search or contact us. Talenix does not currently publish live, bookable childminder profiles. A location search gives you supported next steps; it is not confirmation that a provider is available, registered or suitable.
3. Childcare checks and decisions
You remain responsible for deciding whether any childcare arrangement is suitable. Before agreeing to care, independently check the provider's identity, registration, inspection information, qualifications, safeguarding arrangements, insurance, availability, fees and terms.
The official GOV.UK registered-childminder service can direct you to your local council or a registered childminding agency. If a child may be at immediate risk, contact the emergency services or the appropriate safeguarding authority rather than using this website.
4. Acceptable use
You must not:
- use the website unlawfully, fraudulently or to harm another person;
- submit false, misleading, abusive or infringing material;
- attempt to gain unauthorised access, disrupt the service or introduce malicious code;
- scrape, copy or commercially exploit the website in a way that violates applicable law or our rights; or
- include sensitive medical or safeguarding information about a child in a search or general enquiry.
We may restrict access or disregard submissions that breach these terms.
5. Website content, intellectual property and links
The website's design, branding, text and original materials are owned by or licensed to Talenix and are protected by intellectual-property law. You may view and print reasonable extracts for personal, non-commercial use, but may not reproduce or republish them without permission.
We aim to keep general information useful and accurate, but it is not legal, medical, financial or safeguarding advice. External links are provided for convenience. We do not control third-party websites and their own terms and privacy policies apply.
6. Availability and changes
We may update, suspend or withdraw all or part of the website without notice. We do not promise that it will always be available, error-free or compatible with every device. We may also update these terms; the revision date appears at the top of this page.
7. Responsibility and liability
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation. Your statutory rights as a consumer are not affected.
Subject to those protections, Talenix is not responsible for losses caused by reliance on general website content, the unavailability of the service, third-party websites, or a childcare arrangement made outside a separate written agreement with Talenix. We do not guarantee that a search or enquiry will result in an introduction or placement.
8. Privacy, governing law and general terms
Our privacy policy explains how we use personal information. If a court finds part of these terms invalid, the rest continues to apply. A delay in enforcing a term does not waive it, and no other person has a right to enforce these terms.
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. If you are a consumer living elsewhere in the UK, you retain any mandatory rights to bring a claim in the courts where you live.
